Effect of additionally BCAA supply on imazamox-treated sunflower and antioxidative defense system

چکیده

Sunflower is an economically important oilseed crop worldwide and weeds have a negative effect on its yields. The herbicide imazamox, combined with imazamox-resistant (IMI-R) sunflower hybrids, technology known as the Clearfield production system successfully controls weeds. mechanism of action imazamox related to blocking AHAS enzyme, which catalyzes first step in biosynthetic pathway branched-chain amino acids (BCAA). In present study, we investigated supplementary addition BCAA imazamox-treated IMI-R plants antioxidative metabolism. Our results showed that additional application has beneficial both total protein content activity antioxidant defense plants. This amelioration probably secondary enhanced metabolism supposed direct involvement three overall turnover.
